Moongate Films is a UK-based production company which develops and produces independent films for UK and International distribution. The company takes particular interest in personal stories of human achievement and triumph over adversity.

Moongate Films was founded by Caroline Rowland and Daryl Goodrich, the Producer-Director team credited as being two of the ten key players in London securing the right to host the 2012 Olympic Games (The Observer, 10 July 2005). Their films Sport at Heart and Inspiration “saw off big-budget presentation directed by Besson and Spielberg for Paris and New York”.

Following the remarkable success of these films, Caroline and Daryl set up Moongate Films as an off-shoot to New Moon Television to produce feature films in the UK and abroad.

Moongate Films are currently developing a number of projects. The slate includes a full-length feature based on Inspiration, as well as three biographical films (the first tells the story of Freddie Laker’s Skytrain empire; the second is based on the life-story of Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards, the UK’s legendary Olympic ski-jumping ‘champion’; and the third project reveals the true story of Brother Colm O’Connell, the Irish priest who uncovered the natural talent of Kenyan middle distance runners in the 1970's).

Caroline and Daryl are represented by Independent Talent (UK) and Endeavour (US) as a Producer-Director team, and have a production partnership with Los Angeles-based management company, Industry Entertainment.
